Alex Cree

ASSOCIATE

Mr. Cree joined TCG in early 2010 as an Associate, having previously interned with the firm throughout the 2009 summer. Prior to joining TCG, he served for two years as a business development specialist for the North American Representative Office of Shenzhen, PRC (NAROS). In his capacity as the Shenzhen city government’s first ever full-time American employee, Mr. Cree worked alongside senior government officials to attract major foreign investments to the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and help bolster the city’s export profile. In his time at NAROS, Mr. Cree provided direct support to or was party to negotiations involving several major firms including JPMorgan Chase, Steelcase, BYD Auto, Lowe’s, Accenture, Freeborders, as well as numerous American and Chinese SMEs.

In addition to his work with NAROS, Mr. Cree served as an associate at Dezan Shira and Associates in Shenzhen, as a U.S. House of Representatives Congressional Intern in San Diego, as a clerk for the Law Offices of Leonard, Dicker & Schreiber in Beverly Hills, as a researcher at the Agency for International Trade Information and Cooperation in Geneva, Switzerland, and as a marketing and development intern at Southern California Public Radio in Los Angeles. Having most recently studied Mandarin Chinese intensively at National Taiwan University in Taipei, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Southern California and a Master’s in International Management and China Studies from the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at University of California at San Diego.
