Sam Wang

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Mr. Wang is a Senior Associate based in Shanghai, China. Originally joining TCG as an Associate in 2007, he has been deeply involved in most of TCG’s important projects, including Beijing-related investments, the recapitalization of Trio Group, and the acquisition of Caplugs. In addition to providing support in financial advisory deals, Mr. Wang has managed TCG’s account with Composite Technology Corporation (CTC), an innovative clean energy company, since 2008. He is now the point person for CTC’s daily operations and business expansion in China.

Prior to joining TCG, Mr. Wang was a management trainee at TNT Express Group, where he had several rotation opportunities within the group. He interned at TNT’s head office in the Netherlands and was invited by the group CEO to attend TNT Group’s global annual senior management meeting as a special guest. During his work in China, he gained a wide range of exposure in global account management, China-India strategy research and development, joint venture due diligence, sales, and marketing. After successfully completing TNT’s rigorous training program, Mr. Wang was promoted to Business Development Manager, with a focus on key account management for TNT China.

Mr. Wang graduated with honors from Shanghai Fudan University, where he earned a B.A. degree in economics and international trade.
