Tom Ren

Mr. Ren is Co-Founder and CEO of Globalization Accelerator, a new business formed with Transworld Capital Group (TCG) in November of 2011.

Tom Ren founded AECsoft USA in 1999, founded AEC Global (Shanghai) in 2007 and served as Chairman and CTO for both companies until January 2011 when the companies were acquired by a NASDAQ-listed e-procurement software company.  Mr. Ren spearheaded the creation of AEC’s flagship products including the Total Supplier Management System, Supplier Diversity Management System, eSourcing System and Supplier Contract Management System.  These software products have since been licensed to many Fortune 500 companies and government agencies to effectively automate often complex supplier management, strategic and tactical sourcing processes.  In October of 2010, Gartner Group ranked AECsoft’s Supplier Management System as the highest scored supplier information management system in the entire world. 

Mr. Ren successfully grew AECsoft organically, producing solid profit margins and high customer satisfactions year after year.  After selling the company, Mr. Ren served as Vice President of AECsoft Solutions for the acquiring company until October 2011.  Prior to founding AECsoft, Mr. Ren served as Vice President of Web Development for World Trade Network, and as Senior Programmer for COADE Engineering Software.

Mr. Ren has dual Masters degrees in Physics and Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston.  Prior to that, he attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Nanjing University in China.  Tom has several inventions and a US patent.  Mr. Ren received US Pan Asian Chamber of Commerce/Wells Fargo “Asian Business Leadership Award” in 2005.
